Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions 2026 

The contract between KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) and the student will be on these conditions, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions.  

Any variations to these conditions shall have no effect unless agreed in writing.

Receipt of a confirmation email after a booking indicates our acceptance of the student’s booking. 

All students studying weekend courses must print their confirmation email and bring it to the first day of their course. 

 

  • KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) reserves the right to change our course prices or content on our website at any time. 

  • KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) does not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services, weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods, sickness or force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are your responsibility.

  • Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions. 

  • KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) does not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the student or any other person included on the booking. Any claims shall be subject to English/UK law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the sole domain of the English/UK courts. 

 

Volunteer opportunities,  jobs and links posted on our websites are to third parties. Although we will endeavour to assist students to the best of our ability, we can accept no liability for the actions or conduct of any third party organisation.

 

BOOKING A COURSE 

  • All clients must attend an interview, telephone or face to face interview and have their level of English assessed as well as objectives confirmed. 

 

PAYMENTS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

  • All payments must be made by direct bank transfer or standing order.

  • Students are entitled to a full refund of the course fee if they cancel within 14  days from the date they made the purchase of the course, unless this is within the 14 days of the start date of the course. In this case no refund is possible.

  • Cancellations made after 14 days of the date they purchased the course will not be eligible for a refund. All refund requests must be made in writing to trainingwithkathrine@gmail.com 

  • In the event of a course being unable to take place due to trainer illness or other circumstances beyond our control, the course may be cancelled. KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) will endeavour to provide an alternative trainer but this is not always possible. We will try and arrange an alternative date, but if any new arrangements are not suitable, a full refund will be offered. We accept no liability for travel, accommodation costs or loss of earnings.

 

Special Terms for one to one and closed group courses.

  • For one to one lessons and close group course bookings students must give 48 hours notice in writing to their tutor and KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) if they need to cancel a lesson otherwise that lesson will be charged.

  • Students must give 30 days notice if they want to terminate their lessons.

  • Set courses and bespoke courses must be paid for in full in advance. 

  • Continuous courses can be paid monthly or in full. For continuous courses students are expected to complete a 12 - 18 month period of study in order to complete a full level and receive a certificate of course completion. 

  • Students must give 2 weeks’ notice to their tutor and KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) in writing if they are going on holiday.

 

Please note; Under no circumstances whatsoever will amendments or cancellations be accepted less than 14 days before the course date.( ALL COURSES ) Any student who wishes to amend or cancel within the 14 days of the course date, for whatever reason, will forfeit their course fee. 

 

CODE OF CODUCT

  • All of our staff have the right not to be subjected to aggressive, abusive or offensive language or behaviour, regardless of the circumstances. Examples of this behaviour include, but are not limited to; threats of physical violence; swearing; inappropriate cultural, racial or religious references; rudeness, including derogatory remarks.  KATHRINE HARGREAVES ( TRAINING WITH KATHRINE ) practises a zero-tolerance policy in regards to such behaviour. 

  • All students are required at all times to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner including in their dealings with other students, staff and external organisations. 

  • Disruptive or antisocial behaviour could result in being asked to leave the course and no refund will be given.

 

This Agreement is governed by UK law.
